Best Interior Mod (non SS Cobalts)

If you plan on modifying your interior on your LS/LT this is the best mod in my opinion. A guy i knew had a Cobalt SS 2.4 and rolled it so he decided to part the car out, i had never really thought about the swap before but once i seen them i wanted them really bad and now that i have them i'd never go back. LEATHER SEATS, some people don't like them and i thought i didn't either but it makes my car. i bought the front and rear seats for $100 (amazing deal) and they are a direct swap, only thing he didn't have was the rear head rests which didn't bother me. i ended up selling my cloth interior online for $50 within a few days. If you stumble upon a leather interior for a Cobalt for a good price i would get them they are a HUGE upgrade to the whole car.

I'd have to agree. My favorite thing aboj the interior of my ss is the seats. Going from my base to ss interior was a huge step up

Also $100 is a steal!! I know of people selling the cloth seats for more than that

yes! very good deal only thing was they didn't have the rear head rests, they aren't heated and there was no wiring harness for the passenger seat (which i took from my cloth seats) but i find my car feels and looks a lot more "high end" haha and i plan on buying a heated seat kit for them since i do live in canada and cold leather is not the most comfortable in the morning

Yeah leather and cold suck. I think the seats look better without the rear headrest

That's why the Recaro's win: mesh inserts don't get too cold or too hot. ;)

And yes, the rear seats look better without head rests. When I swapped to a leather rear seat, I took the opportunity to remove the headrests since they didn't match anymore.

Heated is the way to go. I did the swap a while back. Bought a complete dash and body harness out of an LTZ at bulk price ($20) and stripped out the necessary wiring for the install. It's a big job but I love the heated seats this time of year.

i've had leather SS seats and I've had T/C seats and I have to say without a doubt the TC seats win, hands down, they're more comfortable, they're not blazing hot/stone cold, they're FFFAAAARRR more supportive, they look better (not all wrinkly and cracked after a while) and best of all you dont slide off on cornering

Those are nice seats. I'd still put seat heaters in them

They are also hard to find!
