Carbon Fiber Wrap for Hood

Looking to wrap my hood with carbon fiber vinyl. What type of thickness should I be looking for and what color is best, grey or black for a carbon fiber look? My car is the light blue/greyish color.

Thickness isn't really the major issue with carbon fiber wrapping your hood, its the quality of the wrap. Don't go cheap on it, otherwise you will just be stuck with a rice looking wrap job.

Go for a higher end wrap such as 3M. Make sure you measure the hood so you get a proper sized roll of wrap so you can do it in one piece.

And as for the color, it depends on the color scheme of your car. If you are rockin' black rims, I would go for a black on black carbon fiber look. But this is all personal preference, so do what you think would look best on your car.
