Cleaning Red Inserts

There's a lot of dirt stuck in the grain of the leather in my Balt and on the red vinyl part of the door panels. Because of my dirty job (diesel mechanic, lanscape contractor), I clean and condition regularly. but there's just some stuff I can't get rid of. Once I tested a magic eraser on a small spot, and it got the dirt out but also took away some of the shine. Does anyone have any tips on how to clean red leather and/or vinyl without destroying the finish? Thanks in advance.
