never have done the dragon, been on some good roads that I do not see the dragon being much different(was in the SS though). Its about 3-4hrs from me. i plan to take a Blue Ridge Parkway trip in the spring or wait till the Indy 500 cause I am going to that and will do the BRP on way back. Want to do the whole south part of it which is LOOOONGGG. I will eventually do the dragon though. As for 9k redlines, eh, this one goes to just over 7(max power right at 7k).

Yea their is hard tops for all generations/models. I would love to have a power hardtop model, they started releasing those in 2007 but the price for one is a bit high. I want to test drive one someday, if I like it I might trade. I have been thinking about selling mine lol, its worth about 12k now so atleast there is no depreciation like the balts. If you really want an s2k then I say go for one, definitely drive all the cars you want but in the end gotta get what you want if it feels good to you. s2ks are like anything here, all over, some stock, some riced and some clean.

Yea, I thought about the S2k's but it was easier to find a MX-5 to my liking meeting requirements that was not beat and priced good unlike the s2k. Nothing against them but I have a funny story. Last week I was going to see a friend and there was an S2k up aways(did not know it at the time) and we got onto a ramp that loops onto another interstate and its about a mile long and has a long left curve that is the length of it and I hammered it down and I got right up on them and they got on it but I got passed them. Not sure how hard they were pushing it but my mazda wanted more. Only thing about this car, might have to do with the tires is that when its wet they let go easy, I was trying to have some drift fun within limit and it wanted to step out way more to where feathering the throttle was not an option, it was just on or off. I believe its the tires more then anything but damn, they grip good in the dry

Thats where i am coming from man. I want a little rwd light mother that will like crazy. Straight line speed has never been my thing. Turning while pushing whatever is available has always been fun for me. Even my old beast 69 chevy pickup I had. Any where near 250wp in that thing would be sick! Depending where I am in the next couple years an mx-5 or an s2000 is at the top of my list for my next car. The same reason you love the MX is what pulled me to the s2k. Thanks for your input Chris, and its good to see you around here again. Wouldn't mind chatting again sometime.

I like it, its not a great only car but i have a truck so it works out. Atleast for me anyway, not enough space. Handling is AMAZING though, I take corners way quicker then I used too in the SS, but the SS had the power! lol. Did not miss FWD at all, its nice to come out of corners and be able to gas it really good with no issues. As far as plans, pretty much just do exhaust and intake, might get wheels down the road as these are curbed really good thanks to whomever had it before me. Its a 2002, loaded up and I'm only at 35,500 miles. Maybe once its paid for I will build the motor some and boost it, probably turbo, get around 250whp and be good. I do not know though, I have been a fan of them since i first drove one but wish I had went with a 2006+ though they are looked at as heavier pigs but I really liked the style and interior on them.
