I think your best bet would be to sand them smooth or not and then paint them black with a clear over the top. to just clear over the plastic wouldn't be the best idea.
probably to like 60k. most will last about 100 with stock springs. people have had good and bad luck with stock struts, i personally always thought they were good just too high for my style.
I was saying that it might not be worth doing your mirrors black because they are already black plastic. Do you have the painted caps though? maybe I was confused about what you meant lol
get ottp control arm bushings, ss/tc shocks all around, your lowering springs of choice, if you want some nice stability up front get a strut tower bar and poly sway bar bushings and an ss/tc sway bar if youre base model. and those control arm bushings for just lowerings springs are going to do wonders for handling. also consider a rear sway bar. it'll handle so good trust me ive been researching and doing this stuff a long time.
I could make a how to but I know there is one out there somewhere. I think on a different cobalt forum though. I stumbled upon it by accident one time. and yeah I made my own coil cover.
back in your Dad's day most cars were rear wheel drive that's why they put them on the back then. you want them on the front because those are the driving wheels and they are also your steering wheels so it's a double plus to put them on the front.
yup, have them do it when they are mounting the new tires. You can't swap TPM's without taking the tire at least part way off the rim and that requires a tire machine.
wait now, do you have a tire machine? you can't swap TPM's without at least breaking the bead on the tire. it's much easier with the tire off the wheel though.
This my good sir is what you should do. Pick out the 2 worst looking tires as far as tread wear goes. If you don't have directionals it will be easier. but anyway. pick the worst 2 of the 4 tires. get rid of those and then mount the 2 tires that you keep on the back and put the 2 new ones on the front.
I can sand them nice and paint them up and everything if you want, you pay for the supplies and I can get them lookin nice! <just sayin if you don't have the time or space to do it in...
Alright, I got you pics, they are all 9/10 condition wise, the 1/10 is from rough texture on some of the wheels inner face. . .nothing that can't be sanded out, but i didnt care because they are for the winter anyway. . .
Yeah, gimme a few minutes for the pics...they are Primewell PZ900 205/55-16s , they're made by bridgestone and have good reviews on all the forums that show up on google so...
