New here need help!!

Hey guys just recently got a 2007 cobalt SS with stage two done on it. It started knocking and im pretty sure its a spun connecting rod bearing. Now will the crankshaft from a LNF engine work in my LSJ???? Only asking becuase the LSJ is like $900 and the LNF is around $400. They are both forged and look identical (too me)
again im new here and would like to fix the car but cant really afford the $900 Crank plus all other parts Thanks any help will be muchly appreciated

From ZZperformance,
LNF and LSJ use the same crankshaft but the reluctor wheels are clocked differently. This cannot be modified by the end user so it's important to select the correct crankshaft. @only $500 brand new. Do some shopping and you may find exactly what you need at a reasonable price.

Donít forget about those beat up rods.

ok so if i buy the crank and reluctor wheel seperate i can buy the LNF crank for half the price of the LSJ crank. I work for GM and im from canada anywhere i can find the crank for the LSJ its liek $900 in hand after shipping. Stright from gm its $875 before tax and duties. The LNF crank is like under $500.

did you try ZZPerformance dot com for price check?

And no the reluctance ring is not a normal part GM sells. A crank shaft rebuild shop may have the tooling and experience to do that job. I would not count on it.
I would let your fingers do a little shopping on the net.
