So I stole the whole steering column from one car and put it in the other.
Got anti theft to turn off, but no crank still.
I've checked all fuses. Replaced all relays. Nothing.
But I can say the engine wiring harness is a little butchered. I have no idea what some idiot was doing in there but there's a bump button to the starter. Crude stereo harness for an amp. Just plenty of ghetto wiring done...
The anti-theft light is an ez to reprogram fix. You will need access to a TechII programmer.
It will also be handy for other issues such as bonding the radio, engine controll module, BodyContromModule, and the likes. In addition to matching keys to the system.
You can find the original clones on ebay in the $250-$350 range delivered.
There are several things this just about the only way to deal with it or your stuck taking it to the stealership for some exciting sexual activity.
For these type of things they like to charge by the guess with no guarantees it will be in better condition.
San Antonio is a bit far from Dallas area to just pop in.
So, I would start searching for a late model updated TechII
