New Central ILL Owner...

Fairly new owner, @ 3 months. 09' Cobalt LT XFE, chrome package, power windows, locks, etc Radio w/USB, Steering wheel audio controls, cruise, spoiler, and pinstripe.

Very happy with car. Bought for less than $10k with my trade in + incentives!

Averaging @36 MPG (DIC is reading a bit lower oddly enough) with highs in the low to mid 40's on the interstate.

lol, oh yes, silver paint..

Bought as my commuter car. @ 52 miles each way.

Will be doing mods, still deciding what. I prefer 'quiet' over performance with gas mileage the prime decider. When I get the urge for speed, I take the truck!

Stereo is nice but needs a bit more oomph + tweets. Have swapped the stock gauges with ones from a SS. Like the white backed gauges better for night driving, just my opinion. Took like 10 minutes to do!

Chevy Silverado. More of a hauler but still scoots when needed. We use it to haul tractor (huge garden @ 1.25 acre) around and my tools (pretty much anything with an electron flow, Ive worked on), so it is our 'recreational' vehicle. Dont ask me gardening questions. Thats HER pervue, I am just labor and financial backing.

Welcome, I too am in Central, IL.............. We live in Glasford, outside of peoria a ways. I have a Black 09 auto ls and my wife has sport tint 09 auto lt.

I too bought mine for a commuter car also (wife got hers because it is "cute" LOL), but my drive from glasford to peoria is only 52mi round trip each day, not nearly as bad as your drive..... I've been averaging between 35-36mpg with mine, with probably 85% highway/interstate 15% city driving..... Best on a tank of gas has been 36.6 so far.

We've had them for about 3-4 months now and really like them We bought them right after the auto show in peoria because they had some pretty good sales at Green.

Enjoy the car...................
