Smile Some of the forum collected abbreviations for us newbies

hello all this is my first day, I have an 2006 paid it off and just getting started, so thanks for all the auto related abbr. i went through all 5 pages copied and pasted then printed it and here is what I got=

PCM; I've seen two definitions Power Control Module if I remember correctly and the other one was pertaining to ABS (Automatic Braking System) brakes and vehicle speed sensor. Pulse Code Modulator.
CEL = Check engine lightIC= InterCooler (UK & CAN)
ICP= InterCooler Piping
AC= AfterCooler (US)
CAC= Charge Air Cooler (US)
CP= Charge Piping
CC= Climate ControlECM = engine control module
BCM = body control module
TPM = tire pressure monitor
PSI = pounds per square inch
FPR = fuel pressure regulator
SES = service engine soon
TBI = throttle body injection
EFI = electronic fuel injection
DIC = Driver information Center (which camo mentioned earlier sort of)
CCA (label on battery) = cold cranking ampsDIC refers to display in car which is the little read out in the instrument panel that tells us the trips, mpg, coolant temp, etcSC=supercharged
N/A=naturally aspiratedNLS = No Lift ShiftHID=correct High Intensity DischageCAI= Cold air intake
SRI= Short ram intake
FI= Forced induction (Supercharged, turbocharged)
SAI= Secondary Air injectionWOT = Wide Open Throttle (Took me a while at first for this one.)FE refers the different suspensions that exist between cobalt models
Base, LS, LT models have FE1 suspensions
2.4 motor cobaltís have FE3 suspensions
True SS cobaltís have FE5 suspensionsL61 = 2.2L engine (pre-2009 LS/LT models)
LAP = 2.2L engine (2009+ LS/LT/XFE models)
LE5 = 2.4L engine in the naturally aspirated SS (i.e. fake SS, 2006-2007) and Cobalt Sport (2008 only)
LSJ = 2.0L Supercharged engine (2005-2007 SS models)
LNF = 2.0L Turbocharged engine (2008-2010 SS models)
If you see RPD, it refers to a performance display in 2009/2010 SS models.
G85 refers to the Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) available on LSJ/LNF Cobaltís.
That's all the common Cobalt-related ones I can think of for now.

I don't think TBI is really relevant anymore, especially on Cobalts lol. Otherwise, good sleuthing
