Oil Change

Just took deivery on a 2010 Cobalt 1LT. Want to take out the factory oil and use MOBIL 1 Full Synthetic extended service. The factory oil is regular. I know 4 cyl's work much harder than 6's or 8's. Will using the synthetic 5W30 be a more than good oil to use?

Welcome to the forum.

I ran the regular oil for about 5000 miles before I switched to synthetic.

I use Mobil 1 5w-30 full synthetic in my '09 LS 2.2

used regular for the first 20k mi. Now I'm switching to full synthetic as I am working the engine a bit harder now, and want to get something that'll stay clean longer.

Stay with the regular oil at least until the first normal oil change. Your engine needs time to properly break in. After that I would switch.

By the way.... Welcome, and congrats on the new balt.
