Thumbs up Assistance Needed

I have a 2005 Cobalt LS! I am an owner from overseas living in Indiana not far from Fort Wayne. I have no clue on where to go to get things done and what I can do to my car I would really appreciate input and suggestions.

This is what I would like to do:

Engine

Cold Intake
Header
Camshaft
Head
Exhaust

Exterior

Wheels
Possible body kit

Electrical

Most lights (What are most peoples opinion on neon ?)
Stereo
ANYTHING ELSE PEOPLE CAN RECOMMEND TO HELP WITH PERFORMANCE

Am trying to get around 300hp out of Little Red without going to supercharger/turbo

Aussiecobaltfan :-)

hey...Not sure quite what you're looking for, but the forum has tons of helpful threads in various fields. Just look around in the appropriate section or use the SEARCH tool. If that fails then start a new thread with specific questions if needed. Welcome to the site!

you can really just go to a machine shop and ask about all that stuff, but the problem is not every machine shop is good. that's your call.

as far as 300whp from a 2.2
I'd say lots of head work, high compression, forged internals, full exhaust, individual throttle bodies, stroker crank, standalone ecm. race gas would help a lot if you're willing to deal with that. high enough compression for 300hp will require it anyway. that's a $5k+ project.

Thanks dude I really for the moment want to get it to at least 240hp. What do you recommend for headlights and tail lights and what is this HID I hear everyone talk of ?.

with standard bolt ons and ~$1-2k you'll only get around 180hp. NOS may get you that if you're trying to avoid a super or turbo, but you'd still have to put some heave upgrades in to protect the internals from failing.
