Im New Here

I'm very unfamiliar with the Cobalt platform. I'm used to working on a 93' Mercury Topaz 3.0L V6. I have known it since child hood. I had to junk it because the rods were breaking, just 2 weeks ago. The cobalt replaced it. There is one odd thing about the cobalt I find weird, why is the battery placed in the trunk?
What are the specs for a 2008 Cobalt Lt?

Welcome and i thought the same thing too when i bought it but it makes it easy to hook up a system no long power wire running through your car or having to run it through the firewall

welcome, battery in trunk saves room in the engine bay(looks nicer) and transfers some weight to the rear. Many cars have this setup now.

That is true, and its also safer in case there is an engine fire the battery wont be affected initially
