If I didn't have to drive a mile on a dirt road to get to my house I'd probably wash it more often. It's dirty right now and since I have to leave it airport parking for a couple days next week, it's going to stay dirty. I figure a dirty car gets less attention from would be vandals or thieves.

Washing it shouldn't do any damage.. But I heard that waxing it too often will make the clear deteriorate.

As long as you are washing it by hand and not taking it thru those auto car washes, you'll be fine.

Those car washes with the brushes and the big spinning brush sets are what ruins a cars finish.

keep in mind too....Get the car detailed a few times a year. Before winter, after winter, and sometime in the summer. There is more to washing a car and keeping it "clean" than just using a bucket and a sponge.

Refer to this thread for ideas.
