Hall Of Shame

Most of us are guilty of doing a mod that we thought would be "really cool" when we set out, only to regret it later. I thought it might be fun to post up some of our dumbest mods or projects that went horribly wrong. Whether it was a matter of poor taste, overall cost, or general stupidity, which of your mods should be committed to the Hall of Shame?

Maybe you should start with yours. You seem to have something in mind.

My freshmen year in college, I put one of those Walmart car alarms on my crappy '95 Mercury Sable . I wanted to impress girls by making my car chirp.

I had no idea what I was doing when I wired it, so not only did the doors lock and unlock randomly, the thing was always going off, usually for no reason at all. My car became the big joke around campus, and people would actively search out my car just to whack it so the siren would go off. My car was even included in a campus film due to the number of tickets I received because of the alarm.. they nicknamed it, the "white whale" (see Seinfeld).

I'll try to dig out a pic of my car when I get home tonight.

When I had my civic, I had blue LED underglow along with ebay projectors that I swapped in eBay blue CCFL's (ballasts kept burning out)....the underglow just made it ridiculous...can't believe I did that :P Oh and I also had these CF-looking altezza tail lights :0

although my rattle-canned-to-match front type-r lip was relatively clean looking. Glad I got all my ugly ass child mods out of the way before i got my cobalt :D
