83 Ranger 302 V8 Project

Its a 302 V8 ranger that needs some stuff but it wont be long til its back on the road

Nice little ranger project.. you going to do a set of better heads and a big cam?

Awesome man, my dad used to have an 88 ranger with the v6 and a 5 speed, and man that thing had balls I can just imagine what a v8 will do to it, love it tho

yea,wel also have a 93 ranger with the 4.0 v6 and its 5 speed and it has balls,i just wish the v8 ranger was stick,but it has a C6 auto tranny in it.

yes it does,the rear brakes dont work at all so u can stomp on the breaks to hod the front tires and u just slightly touch the gas and a cloud of smoke from a burnout pours from under the bed

Good luck with the Ranger man. I have had 3 s-10 v8's and I will build another someday. These little trucks are allot of fun, traction will be your biggest enemy.
Depending on what you or the previous owner did, a great easy upgrade for these is the 8.8 limited slip rear out of an early 90's explorer, not full posi but an upgrade none the less..

right now nothing is done for traction,but we plan on extending the rear axels for bigger tires,a full suspension overload,weights for the back,and a posi rear end,everything probably wont be done for a very long time seeing as its a project and i dont have much money with me moving into my new house for college, but we have the truck and the v8 and tranny is in it and it starts and runs and thats a start. we had boughtin another 302 awile back from the same guy and we were going to put it in my brothers 4.0 ranger but we never found time,money,or a tranny for it and so we just bougt this
