90s GM Cooling Fan Issues

Anyone found a surefire fix for this/what GM's Mistake was?
I've had two pontiacs(grand prix and firebird ws6) and a saturn sc2 where the cooling fans stopped working.
I tested relays, fans, thermostat, and replaced the temp switch/sensor(grand prix and saturn had them combined, firebird was 2 parts), still no go.
Haven't found any TSBs that point out a clear culprit.

Anyone actually fixed it without wirng it to an ign only fuse?

Asking out of curiousity since I know a lot of people have gm eletrical
Experience.

[UPDATE]

Had an 04 Impala cooling fan stop working today, however it's actually the cooling fan going out, looks like it got hot enough to break down the engine oil and create a knock, fun stuff...
