Beamers F150

Figured I'd make a thread for the 1996 150 with the 5.0 v8. I bought it from my dad because he was thinking about selling it and since my SS was about to be sold I went for it seeing as it'd be better to pay $500 for it then going out and finding a cheapish car with god knows what issues it may or could have. Truck is easily worth $2000 or more depending on whose looking I have just a few things planed.

New Headlight, corner and signal housings(have, just need time to install)
New Taillight housings
K&N Intake
Repaint
Wheels
New carpet
Maybe a custom made center console with 2 8" subs
Custom Gauge and HVAC faces(maybe)

As you can see its in good shape body wise, clear is going away with some paint

Last night and earlier this evening I did a quick, quick being the keyword 3m wrap on the dash trim.

and the housings, they have plastic wrap on them btw

So that is it for now, its nothing special at all but since its my only vehicle for right now its something, gets me to work

Thanks, I failed to mention I have to replace the passenger side mirror which is in behind the seat haha. Also have one of them visors for the top with lights in it.

Its alright on gas considering, I have gone around 170 miles or alittle more and still have 1/2 a tank left. Granted it has two tanks but the 2nd tank is not as big as the primary. The money I am saving on having no more car payment and insurance more then covers the extra $30 or so it costs to fill up over the cobalt. I got maybe 260 miles to a tank with the balt typically unless on a trip then it was much more, thanks to some crappy traffic or just having fun so if this gets close then its no biggy to me.

yea the front tank is about $80 here and the rear is about $50. I love the 5.0L though so its worth it

Looks to be 2wd, I assume 8.8" rear end? Needs a steering wheel cover and are your front tires bigger than the rear or is that just the angle of the top picture?

Seriously can't wait to see the mods take shape. I love trucks. What paint color were you thinking?

Yea, 2wd, I laugh that it has the lights on the dash for 4x4 though lol. The tires are all the same, I guess its the angle. Yea, the leather wrap is done, luckily the stock wheel under it appears to be fine so I'm going to carefully cut the leather wrap off and leave it like that. Unless I can score the same wheel in perfect shape.

Well I planed on going with the same color BUT if wherever I get it done prices are not bad and well do the jams and engine I might go with a dark blue or just have something to spice up the factory green up added. Its a pretty nice color when its fresh.

Things well happen slowly I am thinking. I got rid of the balt to save money so I'm going to try to do that. I do not want to get to crazy, say wheels before paint because I do not want to be one of them "hey, wheels look like they are worth more then the truck" people lol.

As for wheels, still looking but nothing blingy and I'm going from the 15's to just 17's.

eh, I like the lifted and big tire look but its everywhere here. Passed probably 7 trucks with big tires in the 8 mile drive home today. I'm just going to stick to stock status, if anything a slight drop would be ok. My housemate is trying to get me to bag it, no thanks.
