Cool Leveecius 2006 Evolution MR/Se Build

Ok, some of you know that I recently started (and finished now) my build on my 2006 Mitsubishi Evolution MR/Se. So now I get to get on with the pics. So here we go for ya, hope you are able to follow along easily..

Here is what I started with the day I started my build:

FIC 1650cc Injectors (good for both 93 octane and e85)


ARP Headstuds


ARP Rod Studs


GSC Beehive Valve Springs and Retainers


ACL Rod Bearings


Now onto the build pics (this is all that I have as of right now, will be getting more later

From here, I re-installed everything, got the car running and started tweaking the tune and fuel trims. Upon finishing the tune I put down an estimated 550-600awhp. Was out with a friend and we decided to change the oil again (been 300 miles on it wanted to basically just flush the oil). After the oil change was out tweaking the tune for more stabil power when my oil drain plug fell out (was really old and needed a new one and was going to get one the next day) while I was driving down the road, and when the oil light turned on, I shut the car off and pulled to the side of the road. From there, got a new plug (thankfully I knew a guy that had an extra one on hand as it was after stores were closed), put new oil in it (again), and went home. The next day I was headed in to town for lunch when I got off the highway everything seemed fine. Once I started to take off from the off-ramp to the highway I heard the most terrifying and horrible sound to a guy who just got done with a build... KNOCK, lots of it. I trailered the car home (mind you it ran fine at an idle and under 1500rpms, but I didnt' want to risk it. So got it home and tore off the oil pan and splash plate and found the #4cyl had spun a bearing. Now I get to finish my build fully. Going to be porting the head and exhaust mani, and boring the engine a little and run a 2.3L fully forged build that will be able to support about 1000hp, but I'll only be pushing 700ish out of it. So that is my update, and once the bottom end starts getting work done on it, I'll get pics of the teardown and rebuild as I get them. IF you have any questions, feel free to ask..

LOL, yeah, well since the rod bearing spun on me, I'm now looking at $1530 just in parts to be shipped to my door, so I have a little saving up to do. Then I need to save up for the Machine shop to clean up and bore the engine block and PNP the heads and valves. After I get the money to do all that, and everything gets together and re-installed, I'll do my break in (won't take me that long) and then I'll have ya come up here for a ride/drive. Let ya get the feeling of 700whp at your hands

nope no extra car atm.. stealing my mom's durango whenever I need it tho . I was pushing 380hp before I started the build. I dyno'd 376whp before the build. And EvoScan's virtual Dyno (which guesstimates my power ratings based on weight, temp, gear, and time it took to go through the gear), put me at 570ish hp on a rough tune.. We will see though.

Broke timing belt on my 4G69 last week, getting the head refurbished this week. 7 bent valves. Only had 387000Kms on it too. Was due for a belt around 400000.

Every minute spent angry is a happy minute lost for ever and ever!!!

No mistake, one of the idler pulleys seized up on me (the one beside the water pump in the picture). Worst thing is, I had ordered all the front 2 days before (came in today) to be ready to change it in 13000Kms. So now it's going to cost me an extra 7 or 800$ to get the head done.
