Help Swanman move on

Well if you haven't seen my other thread.. they decided to total my ss. I will get the numbers up here later on tonight. I'm making this to get some ideas of what car to purchase next.

I need a car asap being a full time student and working full time. I want something fun to drive. It doesn't have to be crazy fast, but I would like good handling, and enough power to not feel lazy on the highways or if I would like to pass. I want something with a decent interior, and I'm willing to sacrifice speed for that if I must, because I can always do some performance mods to enhance the power. Front wheel drive is preferred or awd. It's my daily through all seasons here in pa.. we get bad winters. If I find an amazing deal on something rwd then I'll take it because I can get a beater later. I'm looking to spend as little as possible.. I will have to get a small loan to buy the car. I'm looking for something under 8k.. but I'm not sure what I'll get approved for yet without a co signer being 19 years old.. so I'll update this with solid numbers after I talk to my bank.

Feel free to add cars that aren't on my list if they fit my wants

Some cars that have interested me:

2000ish Gti vr6

Prices range from around 3-5k

This is nice because they're very cheap and have good power stock. I could save money easily and I can definitely get approved for a loan this size. The interior is not great since they're 15 years old though.

2006-2008 gti 2.0 turbo

These have really nice interiors, and they have around 200hp. Not fast though, they do 0-60 in like 7 seconds or something but they take mods well. The interior is what shines to me on this car. And I like the extra space compared to my ss. They are a bit more than a vr6.. but the quality of materials inside make it worth it to me. They go for 5-9k depending on mileage. I'd pick up a high miler for around 5-6k.

Ion redline

They are most like my balt. They have some weird styling but honestly I like the look. The interiors from what I've seen are lacking.. not a surprise from old gm. They are probably one of the fastest I'll be mentioning here. I'm kinda turned off by the interior, so unless I get a great deal on one It probably wouldn't be my first choice. The performance is nice though

Ss/sc

I'd rather this over a redline. But for the price people are asking I think I'd be better off in something else. They sell for 6-7k in good shape. High mileage molested ones are usually cheaper. I'd rather close to stock or tastefully modded.

That's all I can really think of. They're mostly performance based because In my price range it's hard to find a car with really nice interior.. so if I have to be in something that isn't super comfy I'd like to have fun. I am open to about anything though. Feel free to add some cars to my list I'm open to all suggestions.

I did see that. I've been watching it and I'll probably get in contact with him as soon as I get to my bank.

I've also been looking at the mini Cooper s. 2005ish. They go for around 5-6k

Lol yeah a smart car looks great. I've hair heard the minis are fun. It would be an s they have 170hp and they weigh 2500lbs. I am not very interested in one, but it's a possibility. I've heard of a lot of reliability issues though. I'll probably end up in a gti
