Twm Cable Clamp

Has anyone had a problem with the cable clamp staying on the shifter? The clamp will fit tight on the stock shifter but will not stay twm shifter .

I had it pop out on me on my first test drive. When you clip it back in, listen for that clicking sound around the tabs indicating that it's locked. Hasn't let go since. Good luck.

I have pushed it in as hard as I can and have never heard a click. I keep trying but still cant get it to stay. Is the little ball on the stock shifter bigger than the one on the twm shifter

Did you break off that plastic wall in the shifterbox? Not doing so would prevent you from reaching 1st, 3rd and 5th gears, and would overstretch the tabs to connect your shift linkage, having it pop out when attempting a shift. As for the pivot ball, pretty sure it's the same size as the stock cup is reused. Take the time to lube it properly while you're there.
