Question About Swapping Engine

My car has blown up (do to a large hole in the oil pan) and I am looking at swapping the engine. I have a 2008 Pontiac G5 2.2L 2 Door 5 speed standard. What kinds of engines could I swap into this car? I am looking at an engine out of a 2006 Cobalt LT 2.2L and wanted to know if the wiring harness/engine mounts would line up or if I would have problems with this. Also what other engines could I swap?
Thanks!

Nope, different engine altogether. I believe the 2008 has intake and exhaust variable timing actuators so you need an 08-10. If it only has intake then 07-08. You can tell just by lifting the engine cover and looking at the left to see if you have 1 or 2 actuators.

08 doesn't have variable valve timing at all. You need an 07-08 2.2l l61
