Cobalt Won't Start. Doesn't Rev at All

So I just went out to run to the store and when I turn the key, my 2006 Cobalt does absolutely nothing. I think I hear a faint click when I turn the key and another a bit after I let it go. The radio works, interior lights work, etc but the car doesn't even try to start. I tried my spare key in case that did anything but it had no effect. I put my charger on it and it says the battery is fully charged.

I've had a problem in the past where it would rev over and over and sometimes not start but that's only if it had been sitting for a week or more. I just got home from work an hour or so ago and it worked fine.

What's the first thing to check to figure out what might be wrong? Any help would be great!

Here's an audio clip of the click it makes.

Sounds like the starter I've had to replace a couple of them check your connections at the battery and check the connection at the starter by loosening and retightening if there is no change the starter is probably bad takes about an hour to change

try smacking the starter solenoid with a hammer handle - wood - while someone is cranking and see if it kicks over
