Hi everyone, so recently my car decides to just quit running. I ran to the gas station and when I tried putting it into park it wouldn't engage. So I turned off my car and then couldn't get it to start back up, well I found out that my gear shifter is stuck in park. The only way to get my car to turn on is by manually unlocking the shifter and putting it into neutral. I also found a cord that isn't hooked to anything an I think that may be the whole problem. I'm a girl tho so I don't know much about cars. I need help. I'll post pictures of the cord to get a better idea of what I'm talking about.

That cord isn't related to your problem. Perhaps you could better describe what your problem is? Your car is stalling sometimes? Does it stay running?

There's a recall on the shifter. The center pin probably fell out.
