Overfilling oil

Hey y’all so I did an oil change on my 07 cobalt. It’s the LTZ with the 2.2L in it. I added in an oil stabilizer to the four quarts that was already in it and wasn’t seeing any on the dipstick so I added about a half a quart more. It’s a little higher on the dipstick than the max but I’m getting mixed messages on wether or not it’ll be ok. Most are saying it really depends on the car. The thing has 227k on it so idk really what will hurt it at this point considering it’s made it this long with everything stock in it. SO can anyone please answer me that with some sort of a certain answer? And possibly an explanation as to why? (yes it’ll be okay, no it won’t) Thank y’all!😊

if you're worried about it just drain a little bit out of it. or you can just turn it on and let it circulate parked then check it again.
