Service Airbag Light After Steering Column Swap

Changed out the complete steering column in my 2007 Cobalt and now the "service airbag " display won't go away. I checked all the connections and everything is good.

Did you try swapping the airbag with the old one?

Then you're going to need the dealer or a shop with the proper scanner controller to link the airbag to the SRS module if it will sync at all. If it doesn't work you will need to change the whole steering wheel.

You need to reprogram the swps (steering wheel position sensor) hopefully it didn't get damaged. The wheel probably got turned.
