Cobalt LNF No Boost

2008 cobalt ss/tc doesn’t build any boost, boost gauge goes through vacuum just fine then when it hits 0 it doesn’t go into boost. The car doesn’t have a Check Engine Light On, but the abs, traction control, and Tpms lights are on due to a rear wheel speed sensor.

Yes I did, the only place I could feel, hear air is on the turbo, the steel braided line that goes to the very left of the valve cover. Also I took the oil cap off while doing the test and it was pressurized as well.

Is your waste gate moving freely? It might not be closing all the way.

How do I test it? I checked to make sure that it’s had the 2 nuts that fall off and they are still there.

gm has a couple service bulletins about no boost - 1 was about the nuts for the wastegate rod which you just said are there and 2 was about the passenger side radiator support mount bolts would rub through the air charge tube
i fixed my buddies lnf no boost issue/no codes by changing the boost bypass solenoid mounted on the intake manifold

Is there a way to test the solenoid? And now that I drove it in the daylight I see there’s quite a bit of smoke coming from the tailpipe.

you need the gm tech 2 to command the solenoid on and off and listen for a audible click noise and if no noise is heard the solenoid is probably dead but to check the wiring just connect the connector to a test light and command it on and off and see if your test light lights up
