Cobalt Key fob problems

Hi I have a 06 Cobalt Lt and I am having a bit of a problem with my key fob. The key fob only works when I’m very close to the front end of the car and stops working when I walk further away from the car or in the back side of the car like where the trunk is at. I had replaced the battery in the key fob and nothing had changed. Has anyone else had this same problem and if you have what did you do ?

Yes, on my wife's car, she had corrosion on one of the fuses or connector at the BCM. I can't say for sure because I clean and checked all of these at the same time. After I found nothing wrong it worked fine and still does. It could also be corrosion at the connector at the RCDLR under the dash pad.
