Stalling/Sputtering (misfires?) while driving, only when the A/C is on though

2008 Chevy Cobalt 2.4L
ive noticed a stalling/sputtering(I'm guessing this is called a misfire?). The icident happens (at least noticeably) when stopped, on takeoff, or when coming to a stop. The engine actually completely turned off on me today afyer leaving a stop sign, turning onto the frontage road, fortunently I was able to get off the road safely. Car restarted normally on the first try, attempted within minutes of it dying. However this all tends to happen only while the A/C is running. There are no check engine lights or anything, no noticable change in RPMs. Before I put it back in the shop, maybe this will be a repair I can do myself, so where should I start on the list of likely suspects?

This sounds like a text book example of a dirty throttle body.
