I have a Chevy Cobalt 2008 LT with 136k miles. The check engine light is on and is stable. I took it to Autozone and it was code P0455 (Evaporative Emission System) - no other codes. It was cleared and then it reappeared after about 100 miles. No loss of power or responsiveness. The only recent event that might relate to this is the change of the fuel line as it was rusty. What is a good way of correcting this?
its more the evap line that runs next to the fuel line. both rust out and yes the evap line could cause a large leak. faulty purge valve, vent valve or not 100% sealing gas cap may cause these issues as well
