06 LT Sedan 2.2 Engine Problems.....

Error Codes P2101, P1516, & P0121

This is the same problem as in post https://www.yourcobalt.com/forums/che...eleration.html

I thought i had it fixed but it came back and is worse now.

I'm pretty sure these codes rule out the ICM and Ignition Coil.

Is there a Throttle position sensor on these cars? Throttle body? ECM? Any ideas?

P2101 = Throttle Actuator "A" Control Motor Circuit Range/Performance

P1516 = Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance

P0121 = Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Range/Performance

I hate replacing parts wihtout being able to verify it but that's what it looks like so I guess I have to start with the throttle body....

The other question is then new or used.

Used is $100.00
New from Dealer is $145.00

I'm thinking dealer.....

Yeah i figured dealer too, the price difference wasn't that much and it's brand new that way. It's sitting in the car i just have to finish some things for work, change and put it on the car and pray I didn't spend money on the wrong thing.

As soon as my jeans and carhart are dry i will be putting it on.... (someone did laundry last night apparantley)

Wrenching finished.

The new Throttle body assembly has definitely made a difference. I hate to say it's fixed until I have driven it for a few weeks, as I thought it was fixed last time, but the extensive test driving I did this afternoon looked promising.
