Question Problems in 1st

So Ive owned my 06' cobalt ls 5 speed for about two months now and Im having occasional problems after I get moving in 1st gear. Its only happens about once every couple days and only occurs after the car has been sitting for a few hours, but its got me concerned.

After I get moving in first, the car will occasionally get jerky around 2000 rpms. I dont mean jerky as in Im not giving the car enough gas/letting out the clutch too fast and having a rough start, its almost like im repeatedly pressing down on the gas pedal and then letting off. It usually continues a little bit after I shift into 2nd then disappears. Im not sure what could be causing this, but It only occurs after the car has been sitting for a while and only the first time I get moving.

The car has just under 40k miles and has a clean title (2nd owner-bought from carmax where they do a 100+ point inspection they love to talk about so I dont think it has to do with something the previous owner did) its completely stock (for now) and hasnt had any other problems I know about besides the passenger side window crank falling off for no reason. I havent been driving the car too hard or anything, and there has been no CEL coming on.

Any ideas on what this is?

didn't realise it's an 06... I cant remember how long our warranty goes lol, but when I bought mine I had the paperwork done in my dad's name and then he gifted it to me(GM loyalty thing so he got an extra grand off) and they said the warranty transfered

Isn't it 3 years or 36k? I think that's what my 05 had on it.

Ill have to check up on the details of the warranty then

I had another little incident today while pulling into a parking spot. I forgot to shift out of first after pulling in and coming to a stop so when I released the clutch pedal I stalled the car so I turned it back on and a few things happened:
1-windshield wipers turned on by themselves
2-CEL came on
3-parking brake light on the dash came on without parking brake being engaged
4-rpms wavered around 1200-1500 for about 5 seconds before returning to idle

after about 15 seconds and turning the wipers off, the CEL and parking brake light turned off. Now Im officially confused

its gonna have 3/36000miles, unless someone bought the extended warranties...if its that warranty youre screwed on them fixing it....i'd say it's a o2 sensor or something related, but the windshield, cel and brakes are throwin me off...idk what to tell ya...get it thrown on the computer at a shop...

Yeah I wasnt putting too much faith in the warranty still covering it... still going to check it out though. Havent had too much time lately between school and work to get on that yet.

Since Ive had no problems with CEL, wipers, and brake light after that night, Im thinking it could have been some combination of a power surge and me bumping the wipers and not realizing it. I do have a buddy who works at a shop and has access to the computer so Ill see if he can help me out and see whats up.

If it is an 02 sensor, how much would that cost to get fixed?

If you do it yourself, the sensors are around $70-80 (in my area at least). If you take it to a shop, the part may be a lil more expensive, but the labor shouldn't be too much.
