A/C Being Finicky

Here in the last few weeks I've noticed that the A/C works fine when traveling on the highway but it loses it's coolness when in traffic or idling. It's a definite difference and thought I'd check in with you all for any suggestions or ideas. It's an 2.2L '06 LS with about 125000 miles.
