Is the Camshaft Position Sensor Covered Under the Power Train Warranty?

Does anyone know if the Camshaft Posion Sensor (CPS) is covered under the 5 years 100,000 kilometers power train warranty.
My balt is showing the CEL and the Traction control light and is very sluggish. The mechanic at the local garage told me that the scanner shows that the CPS is the problem. I am wondering if this would be covered under the warranty ( canada) as the chevy dealer told me it would be about $400. i have a 2006 Cobalt SS with 65,000 kilometers.
any assistance would be appreciated. thanks
