Exclamation Solid Check Engine Light

I have gotten the dreaded check engine light. What are the most common issues that cause the check engine light. I have had it for around a week now i already checked my gas cap. I think i might take it off and further inspect it to make sure there isnt a crack anywhere. Any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it.

Gas cap would be #1 on my list. Seems to be a common problem...

If you have an Autozone nearby, have them pull the code. It is usually free.

If you have an aftermarket intake. Check that for any lose connections where extra air might be getting in.

Also, You could always just unhook your battery for like 5 min and let your CPU reset and that should clear any lingering codes.

My light came on for this same reason..but I
had to replace the gas cap, because it will never
seal correctly.
