Vibration

I get pretty good vibration from the front end when braking at highway speed (above 50mph), the harder I hit the brakes the worse the vibration.

Warped rotors?

Yes, probably warped rotors. If you pull the wheels off, you usually can see hot spots typical of warped rotors.

Cobalts are notoriously known for their warped rotors some striaght from the factory with as low as 23k on them. Also they can warp from heat dissipation or if they are real hot from driving and you get water on them this will cause hot spots as well. Some rotors can be machined and get the hotspots out but that depends on if your rotors are still withing spec of being machined or not

Yep, it's the rotors. Cobalts were made with junk rotors. I've had my car since 2009 and I've always had that vibration and then I changed the rotors and it was fine.
