Starting to Stall

Can someone help me find out whats going on. I have a 2006 cobalt LS. It is starting to stall when the car is idling only or when im in traffic. its fallen dead twice. It is really bad when the conditioning is on but is normally o.k. when off. The headlights dim when the engine starts to stall and when i am parked and rev the engine it is the worst. The car shakes when it is about to go but it normally, the best way to describe to kinda works it self back out of almost falling dead. can someone tell me what could be the causes of this. Thanks!!

My car was stalling with the A/C on, and a faulty crankshaft sensor harness was the culprit.

I’d suggest speaking with your dealership. If you still have questions after visiting them, please let me know.

Garage
if its high milage the fuel filter may be the culprit. cheap and easy place to start. especially if youre not getting any code. should probably be done to an 06 if it hasnt been done anyway.

I have a 2006 LT cobalt and mine did the exact same thing. I cleaned the throttle body and haven't had a problem since!
