Problems...

I have an 06 LT. My remote worked fine for a year then it works when it wants to. I replaced the remote batteries and it worked that day, then it went back to working when it wants to. what is the solution? Since that won't unlock the car, I have been using my key but my alarm goes off until I start then car. how can I stop that? Now more recently, the dork locks have been locking and unlocking randomly, I think it might be the fuse, but I'm not that smart with cars. What should i do?

You need to fix your remote, just order keypad buttons and clean circuit board surface. Read through this thread and choose a repair method.

or you can just repair yours with these;

If you manually lock the doors, it will not set the alarm.

Your remote could be locking and unlocking the doors since it is malfunctionning. Or you might need to reseat the BCM connectors.

OrangeCobalt06,

I'm sorry to read about your door lock situation - I can imagine that this is frustrating. Your alarm (if stock) is armed when the doors are locked by either using the key fob (which you say you aren't using right now) or when you press the electronic lock button with the driver's door open. Have you tried manually just pushing the lock on the driver's side rather than using the key from the outside to avoid setting off the alarm while you wait for a fix?

Also, as you mentioned wanting to check the fuses, there is information on that in the manual (includes a diagram and such) -- check out page 5-92 on for a section on electrical matters.

Keep us posted, and if you decide on working with a dealership please let me know! I would like to assist in any way that I can.

Best,
Sarah
