Car Hiccups Giving It Gas.
So I recently bought a used 2006 SS a couple months ago, and it's been running fine up until tonight. Something has been going on with what I think is the clutch? I could be wrong, but as I reach higher rpms/press the gas harder, the car starts to stutter. It feels like it is running out of gas or something, the rpms don't jump higher or anything, they rather drop slightly, but it just hiccups, and the more gas I give it, or the higher I put the rpms in any gear, it does it. I don't notice anything when idling or coasting, just when I start to give it a push or accelerate.
The guy that had it before did some work to it, told me he put in an Exedy Stage 2 clutch, which puts me in denial about it being a clutch issue. He also gutted the cat and put a catback exhaust on it. The light has been on for the sensor, but I was told by 3 mechanics that the light was because of the 02 sensor on the gutted cat and shouldn't be much of a problem. Nevetheless, on account of money, I'm scared to death on what it could be =\ Any help on the issue would be greatly appreciated.
