Trouble Starting

My cobalt always has trouble Starting after I pump gas. I have to give it gas and accelerate for it to catch on or it dies or won't start at all? Does anyone have some idea to what might be causing this.

Not only do I have and idea...... Your purge valve is stuck open. When you fill up the tank this forces fumes and gas particles to the plenum causing the cylinder with the open valves to flood. You will eventually get a service engine light. Check your purge valve solenoid.

Yep, that's sulfur from your evap canister coming through. Nice smell isn't it. Normally your car evap solenoid would open at cruising speed at higher engine revs so you would never smell it.

I've had that same problem too. I just replaced my purge solenoid. I've read that this can cause the gas start up problem. I haven't had the chance to fill up yet, but we'll see.

The dealer quoted me $300 to replace it but I got the ACDelco part on Amazon for $25 and did it myself. It will probably be $35 in a physical store like Advance Discount Auto or something.
