Clutch Issues? 06 SS/SC

So I was out driving my car today, it was fairly warm out and lots of stop and go traffic, I had notice my clutch behaving a little weird, at times it was fine but others I had to put it right to the floor to engage the clutch, and it felt real soft, but this seemed to only be an issue when my coolant temp was past 100 degrees, when I would get it into faster moving traffic and she could breath and drop temp below 100 it seemed to be fine it also seemed to have a lot less power but when I left home it had the balls its supposed to have, I am not sure if this is just an issue because of the heat or if I need to get some work done to my clutch?
It has also been making a sort of grinding noise when releasing the clutch in first gear or reverse, at random times, but not in ANY other gears what so ever ??
Any tips would be greatly appreciated, I am new to the COBALT world
Owned a RICER before this car!

Might want to do it soon, if you are having to jam it in it sounds like you are on the last leg. I think the ones at ttr for stage 2 are around 600 and that will be good up to 400whp

Yea but its weird like today it was perfectly fine all day, then when I got home and was pulling into the garage it got soft again
but had no issues what so ever all day until I got home, and I put about 120 city km's on her today
I want to upgrade the clutch soon anyways but I want a little more time out of this one before id do so
Id like it to last for the summer and then I wanna drop some money into it over the fall/winter!
