Smile STOCK Exhaust Sounds Louder then Normal

2008 Cobalt LS Coupe (Black)

Ok I know I shouldn't be taking my car to jiffy lube but i did. Sooo I got the oil changed and the transmission flush done (Auto), and thought everything was fine, It took them about 45 minutes to do it all. However as soon as i went to drive down the main road i floored it, like normal and noticed my car's stock exhuast sounded alot louder. like i had a new performance exhaust put on. But this sound only happends when the rpm's are at 1500 up to 4500 rpms and then it goes back to normal after 4500 to 6000 or until the gears change, it does this in every gear when im full throttle. If i baby the gas i dont really notice the noise. I went right back to jiffy lube after noticing this strange noise. the mechanic was nice enough to let me in the pit with him while my girlfriend reved the car in park. and we only slightly noticed the noise. while in the pit i inspected the exhaust from the headers to the muffler tip and didnt notice any major cracks or problems. Please help me out. If Anyone need's anymore details i will be glad to tell... THANKS

Are you sure its the exhaust and not coming from the intake area?
Check the filter and make sure everything is alright, and when your gf revd it did you pin point where the sound was coming from?

Wonder if the intake resonator somehow broke free. It's below the passenger headlight.

That'd be much easier to have happen, my guess as well.

Smile Fixed

OK we figured it out, the air filter was missing the rubber gasket that goes around the air filter. apperently the stupid people at jiffy lube took it off for some reason and forget to put it back on the air filter. And some how i guess because i was so pissed off i missed this error, and checked everything else instead. lol.
THANKYOU to everyone for the help.
