2006 Cobalt LS - Trouble with Auto Downshift

I found today that when I would slow down the car would want to stall out at slow speed. The engine runs fine but shifts rough and it seems like it is not downshifting to match the slower speed. Has anyone else had this problem and what may have been the cause. I have not had time to trouble shoot but will later. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum niknodder.

I'm sorry to hear about your vehicle wanting to stall out at slow speeds. I work with GM Customer Service and if you would like for me to look into any open recalls or would like my involvement as you work with a dealership to get this looked into, please get in touch with me here on the forum. To get started, I generally do need the last 8 digits of your VIN to do some preliminary investigations.

Kind regards,
GM Customer Service

Is your car stock? I would guess your MAF is acting up but without a dtc it is hard to tell.
