Remove Oil Pan to Clean Sluge

I've read the posts about using SeaFoam to clean the engine of sluge. I am concerned about adding basically a solvent to oil and the effects it would have in thinning the oil. I know that what I am proposing is a lot of work, however all the gunk is found in the oil pan. So why not remove the oil pan give it a good cleaning and replace it?

With seafoam you use it then replace your oil, you don't have to worry about oil thinning.
