Replaced Fuel Pump, Now Dont Want to Start?

one of my fuel pump lines had a crack in it so i had to replace the whole fuel pump and fuel filter since i was in there. after the fuel pump was replaced it starting having long starts, seemed like air was in the gas line. so i thought no big deal, the air will work its way out of the line and everything will be good. well after a week to the day later, my car cranks and cranks in order for it to start and its allot worse than it was a week ago. after it is running it dont miss a beat and runs great, its just the startup where it dont want to start. does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? my guess was air in the lines but im not sure why it would be getting worse. i know diesels have this but is there a fuel line bleeder anywhere on the fuel line i could try to bleed the air out of? anyone have any ideas whats going on?
