Slow Power Windows

Ever since I bought the car the windows roll up and down very slowly. Sometime the passenger window will stop half way and I have to give the window a pull to get it going again.

I've read to use white lithium grease to grease rails but that dries up real quick.

Anyone know what kind of grease I can use? I don't want to be having to take my doors apart every few months to grease the rails.

I'm thinking it might be the motor and that means I have to replace both sides.

Not exactly something I want to be spending money on.

Welcome to maintenance.

At least you don't own a 4th gen FBody, then you wanna talk about window problems? lul.

I'd contact Morad Parts Company - 3800 Motors, Transaxles, & Stock Parts

See if Ed or Eric or whoever there can get you a motor on the cheap, they're a great bunch...biggest FWD used parts dealer for GM crap in the North America.

And if you don't want to spend your money on that, then get a base door and love crank windows.

Have you tried a synthetic lubricant? But you always have to clean the old grease first.
