Oxygen Sensor

So as my code reader told me i needed a new oxygen sensor so I fixed that and my car is still picking up codes but when i try to pick up the codes it reading N/A. Also after changing my oxygen sensor i have noticed a significant decrease in gas mileage anyone know why either of these two things would happen? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Get the codes read properly and make sure you installed the proper HO2 sensor if this was your actual problem to start with.

So it could just be that the code reader is bad, and yeah before i changed the o2 sensor it was picking up several different codes for the o2 sensor

Some cheap Chinese reproduction code readers will come up with codes that don't even exist on a Cobalt. Or read the code right but interpret them wrong.

I use Torque app now and so far it hasn't been wrong once. The supplier has an update at least once a week since I purchased it and it keeps improving all the time.https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...l.torque&hl=en

Plus my new BlueTooth Vgate Scan OBDII. These are a perfect march.

The Torque app is on my HTC and it's set to auto update. You can also update to your PC via BlueTooth but it has to be powered from the car's OBDII port.

I was told by Autozone that the code indicated possible bad 02 sensor. When I went to the dealership today, they said that the code was for something different... So like Coby said maybe it is your scanner.

Try the dealership. I am going back on Wednesday to have them run diagnostics for mine.
