Bulging Under Floorboard

Today, I was cleaning up the car during my lunch break and picked up some sweaters from the backseat floorboard. Underneath was a huge raised bulge. It's about the diameter of a basketballl and about 1/2 the height. It fills most of that side of the floorboard. I tried to push it down and it felt relatively sold, but still had some give. I searched the forum and couldn't find anything similar. Any suggestions?

The only thing that has happened to that side of the car is that I spilt a bottle of dish soap a couple months ago during a move. The car got to smell like lavender for a while, but that seemed to be the extent of the damage.

I also drove over a curb earlier this week, but there didn't appear to be any damage.

You probably drove in the floor when you drove over the curb. Look underneath at the same spot to see if it is pushed up. If it is then take it to a body shop and they will pull it out and touch it up so it doesn't rust.
