Crank but NO Fire

Recently, my 2005 Cobalt had thrown a error with engine power reduced. shut it down- waited for a few minutes started back up and it was fine. Drove it for a few days fine. Today went out to start the car and all I have is a starter crank and humming fuel pump. I get no fire no turnover. I think it could be the coil/plugs Ive checked the wire connector on the side and its tight. The motor still has its original plugs in it at 140K there never was any acceleration issues so i was told leave the plugs alone until you get hesitation when stepping on the gas. I was however getting some RPM issues when slowing to a stop. The cars throttle body was cleaned once but has since acted up with the real cold weather. now the car just won't fire period. Any suggestions on this guys? I appreciate the insight and help

Car won't start if ignition module doesn't know when to fire. Crank position sensor tells the "PCM" where #1 piston in relation to cam, then PCM can send ignition signal to ignition module with right timing.

The timing chain tensioner said goodnight. It's a estimated 1900 repair to machine rebuild and fix the top of the engine so I'm essentially dead in the water and its very disappointing
