Replacement Fuel Line

I have a leak in the high pressuure fuel line on my 06 chevy cobalt. The dealer quoted me $800 to get it replaced. Is this price excessive or normal?

If it is at the tank, the fuel line tends to crack on these and drip off of the rock guard. Of course this means changing the fuel pump as the lines are not seperately replaceable. If you are somewhat mechanical, it's a piece of cake. Drain, unhook, drop tank and change. Did mine in about 45 min. Pump is about $270.00. Might as well change the filter while you are under there. There was a recall on this issue, but I think it just covered the southern conus states and I am 5 miles from the state line being covered. Go figure.

it's not just the fuel pump. it's the entire canister and lines that lead to the fuel filter
