New Key.

I was wondering what all will I have to do to make this blank key work.
GM Key Blank Strattec: 691222 GM 89023920

Can I just take it to a key place and have it cut or do I have to go the dealership route to have something special done to it. I know the car has that pas key 3 system to it. Will this blank key have it already built into it?

Are you sure those are transponder keys? If yes you can get it cut at any reliable locksmith not WalMart. But with 5 you should be able to get a good one, lol.

You will need a good master key to program your new key.

1 Insert master key into ignition turn on without starting engine turn off and remove key.
2 Insert newly cut key turn to on position without starting the car and then off again.
3 Now turn and start the car with newly cut key.

Pretty sure at that price these aren't transponder keys. But you can open the trunk and doors with it.
